Cleansing the Palette
Had a fantastic time out at the Dolphin I last week. Still working to get everything out, but I’m stuck. I guess that means it’s time to forge ahead into new clubs. Do I bite the bullet and hit the Devil’s Point and DV8, two places I’ve heard good things about but have been trying like the dickens to avoid. Or is there someplace else I should check into first?

Don’t bother with Sunset Strip unless you want to be ignored…
I stopped by last week, against my better judgement, because I heard that a friend was dancing there now….
She wasn’t. I stayed for one beer, the only guy tipping. Not even a thank you from the girls.
I hate that.

That’s interesting. The Sunset Strip was actually on my list. I may make it the next destination just to see for myself.
Thanks for the heads up.

I guess you’re avoiding Devil’s Point because you’re not a fan of the Suicide Girl look?
That’s definitely the style. But I have to tell you, the Fire Dancers on Monday nights are one of the best free* shows in town. I finally made it last Monday and it was Most Highly Entertaining. C’mon! Naked girls, booze AND FIRE?
* Free, of course, in the technical sense that there’s no cover, and no minimum drink. Tipping is encouraged, and there’s the private dances…

I’ve been intrigued to go see the fire dancers at The Point for a very long time and would be extremely interested in reading a review by you.
I’ve been enjoying your reviews on the clubs a lot. They definitely provide one who hasn’t been out much a vivid and honest perspective of what to expect. Thanks very much. Your style is both informative and entertaining.
Although its not so much my interest, I imagine the stripper karaoke would probably also be an interesting experience at Devils Point.

Ever been to the 92nd Street Club?
