Alas, most every one of them is pretty diligent about carding clientèle. Even though I'm over 30, I still get carded about half the time I enter any establishment. I take it as neither a compliment nor an insult. It's just a guy standing at a door trying to turn an honest buck. I respect that. And you should too. Are there some places more lax than others? Absolutely. But I'm not here to give those answers. I will say this, as with most things in life, if you look like you belong, you'll probably get past whatever security is in place.<br/><br/>I will certainly make exceptions for little female redheads in my life, but I don't think a bouncer (with the threat of hefty fines hanging over him like a sword of Damocles) is willing to cut you the same slack.<br/><br/>So welcome to Portland, Ryann!
